About us

∞ AIKI健芯CLUB ∞

AIKI Kenshin CLUB was founded in 2009 and is a dojo recognized by the Aikikai Foundation. We run a children's class and a general class in Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama.

Aikido does not compete over strength and has no matches. Through body movement, breathing and timing, partners practice together to train both body and mind. We especially value the principles of the sword, passed down from the late Shoji Nishio (西尾昭二) Shihan, and practice with the wooden sword and staff as well as empty-handed techniques.

Most of our members started with no Aikido experience. Families, people in their 50s and 60s, and visitors from abroad are all welcome.
